My name is Michael Marshall .
I am preparing a biography of Nova Scotian born and raised Dr Martin Henry Dawson (1896-1945).
The first volume of the biography is intended to be released in October 2015 -- to mark the seventy fifth anniversary of the first ever penicillin given systemically (internally/ by needle) to a patient.
This event ushered in The Age of Antibiotics and changed our world forever.
Dr Dawson gave that penicillin to patients Charles Aronson and Aaron Alston at New York City's famous Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Centre on October 16th 1940.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions (or information) you might have about Dr Dawson.

My forthcoming biography "The OTHER Manhattan Project" celebrates the 75 years since Dr Dawson birthed Antibiotics in Manhattan on October 16th 1940. This project was more from Venus than Mars, more Emma Lazarus than Gordon Gekko. Defying governments, defying Allied/Axis eugenics, even defying the team's physical disabilities. But in the end, Manhattan beaconed the right of EVERYONE to receive life-saving penicillin out to a world tired, huddled and wretched.
